Twenty Facts About Me

1. On my mums side we're distantly (very distantly) related to Anne Boleyn and our ancestors owned Kilkenny Castle. Royalty right here haha! I always pretend that we should be owning it now and I could be a real life princess (not really but hey a girl can dream)

2. I've been wearing glasses since I was six and only recently got contacts to wear on nights out or just random days I don't feel like wearing glasses! People always say I suit glasses though and I think I do too. Thankfully, I'm blind as a bat without them!

3. I used to be such a fussy eater as a child. When I was about 5 I refused to eat bananas for no reason at all until I tried them when I was about 9 or 10 (maybe older) and loved them! Strange child. This also happened with garlic as I've only started to love garlic everything in recent years but I'm definitely making up for it now. I'm still quite picky, I don't eat a lot of vegetables and I'm not one to try new foods as much as I love food I like to stick to what I know I like.
4. Up until I was 7 we had a boxer dog named Fred. My mum and dad had him from before me and my sister were born and I love looking back at old pictures and seeing him 'play' with the two of us as babies. He died of a stomach tumour sob, but that tends to run in boxer dogs apparently. We haven't got a pet dog since because Fred was literally like a brother to us, sad but true.

5. We did adopt a cat though, soon after. I used to live on a farm, well near one, and a stray cat came in and got stuck up a tree. Well we thought she did, I was still young and didn't think she could get down. So me and my friend rescued it and I decided to keep it because it was nearer my house. We named her Pippa after Pepper (don't ask haha but I think I want another cat called Salt but my mum quickly diffused that idea) She was tabby and half wild, she'd get so hyper and was definitely more of an outdoor cat than an indoor cat.

6. I try not to care about fashion and trends too much, even though trends always come back around sooner or later. I'd rather buy clothes I'd feel comfortable wearing and look nice on me than buying things because they're 'in' or 'cool'.

7. I've been dying my hair since I was about 14, maybe 15. I'm a natural dark blonde/light brown though probably mousey brown at this stage. I haven't seen my natural hair colour since then. I've been pretty much every 'natural' colour imaginable. I'd love to go blonde again because the last time I was, I was 17 and I did it the sensible way getting highlights and building it up, only to get completely bored of it one day and dye it a reddish brown. I still regret it to this day because my hair really needs a  break! I'm trying not to dye it as much now but getting blonde baby hairs at the front of my head is most annoying!
8. From the ages of 10-13 I went horse riding every week. I loved it but unfortunately had to give up because it became too expensive. I've still quite a lot of rosettes at the back of a drawer though. One day while waiting to jump a jump something spooked the horse I was on and I wasn't concentrating (1. because this horse was meant to be 'quiet' and 2. I wasn't used to him) I ended up getting thrown off and fell underneath him. His rear leg stood on my elbow, but somehow I didn't break it, lucky me eh! My lips were blue from shock afterwards but we made up and I got back up on him after I'd calmed down. I'll never forget my dad telling me that he thought at first the horse stood on my face, he was that close. Bit of a near death experience really!
9. I have really varied music taste. I can never ever name an all time favourite band or artist. Though Eminem is definitely up there. My iTunes on shuffle is a nightmare for some haha. It can go from Disney songs to Foo Fighters to Ben Howard to Blink 182 to 90's club classics like Fragma and Alice Deejay. Although my iTunes recently hit 2000 songs and I'm guilty of listening to probably the same 20 odd songs on a daily basis.
10. I wouldn't call it a phobia but I don't like spiders, especially those big black ones you'd find in a bathtub. Urgh makes my skin crawl! I'm not too fond of heights if I'm not in an enclosed space or 'safe' like I can deal with looking out a window in an aeroplane but I'm not keen at all on rollercoasters that go up really high and come down really fast. Actually I'm not much of a fan of rollercoasters really! Much prefer the water rides, yes I'm strange. I don't like deep water either, I used to be a pretty strong swimmer but I freak out when I cant feel the ground under my feet, weird weird feeling.
11. I've a partial bucket list in my head containing all the cliche things that should be on it - go to America, go scuba diving, go swimming with sharks, visit Australia, go on the Eiffel Tower, ride in a hot air balloon and probably a few more I've forgotten about right now
12. My favourite colour has been red ever since I can remember. I developed a slight obsession with it when I was younger, wanting everything to be red even to the extreme of place mats at dinner I had to have a specific one because it had the most red in it. Weird child, I know!
13. I've two tattoos (though I count them as one because I got them at the same time) and four piercings - my lobes (do these count as one or two I never know), my tragus, my cartilage and my tongue! My tattoos are on my upper forearm and they're swallows. I've another few planned or half planned but I still cant settle on placement or little details of the design so I'm waiting til I'm 100% certain, I know one day it'll just click and I'll know what I want. Kind of want a few more piercings too, maybe a nose ring or a medusa but I don't know, I'd probably get sick of them fast!
14. I consider myself a 'lone wolf' and a complete introvert. I never had many friends in school and I was okay with that. In secondary school I had friends I'd sit in class with but never do things at the weekend with. Even now I can count my friends on one hand. I'd much rather that than have a huge group of friends. I like spending time on my own and recharging. In saying that, in the past people have told me I come off as ignorant or rude when instead I'm just awfully shy when I meet new people and even more socially awkward around groups of people.
15. I've a huge huge huge addiction to TV shows, though it has calmed down a little in recent months. I used to just sit and watch seasons of a program in a few days. My favourites include Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries, Law and Order SVU, Criminal Minds and Pretty Little Liars.
16. I have a few annoying habits that I really want to stop within the next year. I bite my nails a lot mainly down to anxiety or sometimes boredom but I vow to stop this year and have lovely long pretty nails. I crack my knuckles a lot too, probably too much. I do it a lot to do something with my hands haha. I can crack my shoulders, knees, back and sometimes my ankles too. Though they usually crack by themselves, gross I know! Its not really a habit but I can stick it in here as it annoys me a lot. I tend to be very sarcastic even to people I don't know so most of the time people don't know what to make of me.
17.  I'm a twin! I don't know why this is so far down the list haha. Its a pretty major fact about me. But yeah I don't talk about her much online because she doesn't really get the whole internet blogging/tumblr/twitter thing! We don't look a like at all, a lot of people don't even think we're related but yeah we're the best of friends and we do a lot together and she's lovely! N'aw!
18. I've a scar over my right eyebrow from getting chickenpox when I was 10. I don't notice it at all now so I always double take when people ask me what that scar is from. I have another small one on my forehead from being a clumsy child and falling over on pebbles. I've another scar on my knee that's quite big from, again, falling over when I was younger!
19. I'm a HUGE HUGE Harry Potter nerd. I've read all the books countless times and can pretty much quote the films! I love it so much to the point I'm deciding on a quote from it for a tattoo, though its hard deciding!
20.  I'm only allergic to kiwis as far as I know. I dont like them anyway so it never really bothers me but sometimes I have to be careful with drinking tropical fruit juices if kiwis are in it because even that makes my throat itchy and weird!
Phew, that was a task and a half thinking of them! This was meant to be 50 but I got lazy and gave up at 20, apologies! These were hard to think of though, I have no idea how some people can think of 50! Suppose I could have made them shorter and spilt them up a bit, maybe. Oh well hope you enjoyed! Let me know some facts about you if you like!
