October Favourites

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula - If you're like me and suffer from horribly dry hands/skin when the weather starts getting cooler, this stuff is a god send! Its a perfect size to keep in your bag and you only need the tiniest amount to soak in and take away any dryness. Plus it smells like cocoa butter which instantly reminds me of summer time and the beach! I bought this in Penneys for a couple of euro near the start of summer and I still haven't finished it! A little goes a long way with this moisturiser.

Barry M Nail Polish in Teal & Rimmel Nail Polish in Urban Purple - It was so so hard deciding on one colour that was my favourite this month so I picked two. I love this teal green shade on my nails and I've gotten a few compliments on it too! Rimmels Urban Purple was my favourite go-to autumn/winter shade last year and its slowly creeping in and becoming my favourite again this year. I'm pretty sure they've brought this shade out in the Kate Moss range now and not the Lycra Pro so its a different bottle in some stores but its the same deep reddish purple shade which looks so nice on and goes with pretty much anything! (Or if you wear a lot of black like me)

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 100 Ivory - Don't you just love when you buy a foundation and it does everything its supposed to? After being a huge lover of Rimmels Wake Me Up foundation, once it ran out on me I wanted a change. Not for any reason I just change up my foundation from time to time, there are always new ones to be discovered! I chose this after testing a few and low and behold a new favourite was created. I'm wearing this daily to college and out and about. I find it has much better staying power than Wake Me Up has. It also matches my skin a bit better now that I'm a bit paler (that's a sure sign winter is coming) I'm just ultimately thrilled with this as a foundation, for a tenner I cannot fault it at all.

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Concealer - This is a lifesaver for me when I get the odd spot. I don't get spots a lot, thankfully. But when I do they're huge, red and take over my face. I don't like putting makeup directly onto spots (who does really?) but if I'm wearing makeup that day I have to, I cant go around with it just there on my face. This is where this little beauty comes in, with the tea tree and witch hazel it soothes and reduces redness of my spot (or spots!) and within a day or two the spot is completely gone. I don't feel guilty about wearing makeup then because this is working its magic underneath it, yay!

Wishlist #2

1. Missguided // 2. Topshop // 3. Emptycasket // 4. Emptycasket // 5. Missguided
1. I've had my eye on these boots since last year I think, I can't remember but it seems like a long time! They're on various shops online at around the same price but I am completely in love with them still. Why haven't I bought them yet? Because I cannot justify having another pair of black heels/boots in my room when I hardly even wear heels! I'm 5'7 so I'd really be towering over everyone in these!

2. I realised earlier this week that even with my love for black, I don't own a plain black chunky knit jumper. Shock horror, I know, so I've been on the lookout for one since. I copped this one in Topshop but I probably wont splurge on it, I know Boohoo or good ol' Penneys (Primark) will have a cheaper version in soon, no doubt!

3 & 4. I'm a lover of quirky and weird jewellery and always have been. Even though in recent years I don't wear half as much jewellery as I used to, these two caught my eye and I need them around my neck.

5. I don't usually like green nor have I ever really gone for velvet clothing but somehow I am completely drawn to this dress. It also comes black so I may get the 'safe' option but I just think this would be lovely around Christmas time with a thick knitted cardigan, black tights and cosy boots. I would definitely wear it going out too!

Hello Autumn ♥

Where did September go? How is it already October? Why are all the shops decorated for Halloween? Why is there Christmas jumpers, hats and decorations in shops already?
So many questions! Autumn is by far my favourite season. I know I'm not the only one who loves seeing all the leaves on the trees change colour, the rare sunny crisp evenings, drinking hot chocolate all day every day, sweater weather, scarves, hats, layers, boots, painting my nails darker colours, walking through big piles of leaves, crispy mornings, darker evenings, seeing your breath in the air... I could go on forever! Autumn is great but not when it is lashing rain like it has been the past few days. Should really expect that living in Ireland though shouldn't I? I never learn.
The past month has been pretty busy, but boring, with college (thats uni to you English folk!) starting again and getting back into the routine of it. If you follow me on twitter I'm sure you've seen me ranting about public transport at some stage. I've also (hopefully - fingers crossed and sending myself positive vibes) landed myself some placement at a vet clinic in February so thats something to look forward to aswell, yay!
I've not much else to update on, I've recently signed up to Netflix and started watching Gossip Girl. Its safe to say I'm addicted. Its easy to watch and most of the cast are all quite hot, what more could you ask for! I cant decide who I fancy more - Dan, Chuck or Nate? Autumn also means new seasons of T.V shows - The Vampire Diaries, Criminal Minds and New Girl are all filling the Breaking Bad shaped hole left in my life after that amazing series finale (dont worry this is a spoiler free blog, for now) And we've still got The Walking Dead next Sunday and the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode and American Horror Story to look forward to aswell. I might as well go into hibernation with all the good shows coming back now, excited!
Thats enough rambly little updates for now, even though it was hardly an update and more of a ramble about Autumn and T.V. I do feel like I'm in a bit of a rambling mode today and this is what I intended this blog to be for so there we go!
What are you watching on TV lately that you cant get enough of? Are there any other shows I should watch? Whats your favourite thing about Autumn?
